We have lots
of fun and music over the 10 day Oktoberfest. Split
into lunchtime and evening sessions, there will be
lots for you to do. Have your lunch in a traditional
Bavarian atmosphere and in the evening wind down after
a busy day with some Paulaner Weiss beer and some
authentic German Sauerkraut, Nockerln with Ham.
Monday to Saturday
- Lunchtime (12am-2pm)
When would you get the chance to sing and dance
along to an authentic Bavarian Brass Band on your
lunch break? Well now you can from Thursday the
8th to the 18th of October. Come on down to the
Paulaner Oktoberfest in George's Dock and listen
to the traditional Bavarian band, Mostland Stürmer
followed by a Bavarian DJ playing traditional music
from the region.
Monday to Saturday
- Evening (6pm to 12pm)
Wind down after a busy day with the Bavarian band
Mostland Stürmer and enjoy some excellent Paulaner
Weiss Beer and some German sausages from the charcoal
barbecue. Like all live bands they will need a little
break and we will have some lively Bavarian music
played by a DJ to keep you dancing and enjoying
yourself.
Saturday (12am-6pm)
& Sunday (12am-8pm)
There will be over 30 German food stalls at the
Paulaner Oktoberfest. Why not bring your family
to experience an authentic Bavarian lunch. We have
crepes, German sausages from a charcoal barbeque,
some Bretzel's & Pastries. Select from the range
of Black Forrest specialities, including smoked
ham, potato pancakes, cheese, mushrooms and delicious
dumplings. And if you have ever wanted to taste
real German Sauerkraut, Nockerln with Ham, now is
your chance!
Why not finish off your lunch with some authentic
German candy, ginger bread hearts & love apples.
And if you want to go all Bavarian, why not buy
one of the traditional Dirndl's from the traditional
German fashion stall.
There will be some traditional Bavarian children's
entertainment as part of the weekend lunchtime programme
from 2pm-6pm.
While you are exploring the various food stalls
the traditional Bavarian band, Mostland Stürmer
will play followed by a Bavarian DJ playing traditional
music from the region.
The 2009 Paulaner Oktoberfest promises
lots of variety and has certainly something to please
everyone.
